The objective of this project was to create a magazine with emphasis on illustration, photography, and typography. A[+] is a fictional, cultural magazine targeting East and South East Asian diasporas living in North America. The A[+] logo has a double meaning where the + represents the model minority myth of A+ grades of Asian diaspora and when placed between brackets, looks like a camera perspective, representing the perspectives of our target audience. A[+] is a double feature magazine that features two unique covers and where one half of the magazine represents stories told from East Asia (reading from right to left, as reflected in their languages) and the other half representing South East Asia (reading from left to right).
